On Friday 22nd May the Advisory Board met virtually to plan for how AI3SD was going to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
We quickly decided to create a set of virtual events for the summer (which have taken the form of the AI3SD Online Seminar Series). We planned to move everything online until the next advisory board meeting, and then to re-evaluate in a few months time once we had more information. We discussed the set of event plans for 2020 and agreed that we would evaluate which ones would be best placed to run online so that we could make further plans.
It was agreed that the Advisory Board would meet more regularly during the COVID-19 crisis, so we have organised the 5th AI3SD Advisory Board Meeting for the 21st August to catch up on how well the online meetings were going, and plan for the rest of 2020.
The Network+ Advisory Board is chaired by Professor John Overington of the Medicines Catapult and is currently comprised of 13 highly experienced individuals from both industry and academia, with a wide range of relevant skills to our Network+. The purpose of the Network+ Advisory Board (AB) is to provide advice on the conduct and content of the AI3SD Network+. This encompasses helping to identify major streams of research for the network and to both commission and assess research proposals. Details on the Advisory Board members can be found on our Advisory Board Page.
